Disgusting.

"Get the drift? Due to licensing rules, the film’s modified cars such as this RX-8 can’t stay in the US, but can be imported here."

^ ? More info on that?

I Wonder what happened here:
along with a blown 350bhp Mazda RX-8

didn't they have a poorly tuned greddy kit on the rx-8?

I thought they had issues getting it to move.

Get a bodykit and paint job less traumatizing than that, along with a Mazsport turbo, all for less.

Meh, that color makes me gag, and the turbo kit on it is the out of the box greddy kit, some great publicity for Greddy huh?

why did they even bother turbocharing the car for the movie? Might as well have just stuck a fake intercooler down there and a NOS Purge Kit.

in the actual dvd description of the car, they claimed that they originally wanted it to be stock, but then needed it to drift some, so they had to turbo it. i think it also claimed the kit was custom? not out of the box greddy?

I think that is just because of the steering wheel. The company selling it probably doesnt know jack **** about how to import a car into the US.

Frankie Muniz is a douchebag. I'm glad he's done with acting, at least for now. Annoying 'actor' and I hope that his Clippers' only historical moment will be getting to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

your right they did.......and for what ever reason it acually came up with less hp then befor they put it on. i have some friends that worked on the movie and they just couldnt get it working right and the car did what they needed the car to do,so it wasnt that important to put to much effort into the 8.

i know they imported quite a few cars from japan to los angeles and maybe that has something to do with them not being able to legaly sell some of the cars here in the states. Probably has to do with various restrictions that the u.s. has on the cars that can legaly drive here, like emisions and what not.
