Everyone;

Got my NEW taillights put on. The word on the street is that a memo went out to all Mazda Dealerships in Canada because when the taillights were put on the car they didn't put on enough rubber seal ( between the lens and bumper) so during the prep stage the dealerships have to look if the car has the old taillights or the new ones. The new taillights have a better seal (more rubber). So I have my new taillights and I am very happy except for the chip in the paint that they put in my car installing them. But thats a new issue.

I also got my letter yesterday and when I was at the dealership, they told me to hold out on Mazda, that if I wait I will get a sweeter deal then the $500 + Maintenance. The miata owners that held out got $1500 + Maintenance.

Cheers
Andrew

As mentioned in the other thread - I call BS on this one. I'm a regular on Miata.net forums for many years (a moderator as well), and I've NEVER heard before that a sweeter deal was offered. As far as I know, the $500+maintenance was it - take it or leave it, there wasn't anything sweeter.

Regards,
Gordon

Hold out till when though? Till it's too late and they don't give you ANYTHING? ;)

I'm holding out till the deadline but past that no way.

About the taillights. So the word is we should all get new taillights???? I'm sure bank st. never checked to see if the taillights had more or less rubber.

Hell they didn't even know about the mat clip!

Post a pic of these new taillights.. I'm curious to see how they differ, or if I have the old or "new"...

I agree with Wing on this one, but the only thing is, I wouldn't start holding my breath.

If you feel the deal is inadequate, then call Mazda directly and ask for more, but don't forget to be polite. If they say no, and the probably will, try to get a group of buyers to complain together.

Chances are you will still get nothing, but just waiting and watching the clock go round will definately get you squat.
