Surely puts our USA Rev-It-Up right up there with kinderkarten now doesn't it. All these years Washington shoulda been encouraging car companies to be hosting terrorist evasion techniques to the masses. Just an example of yet another lost opportunity...

Go Brits :ylsuper:

Weirdo.... ???

I really thought the mention of new renesis technology would get all members super excited since most topics on this forum are complaints about how the 8 could be:

- More efficient (uses less fuel)
- More powerful

Early 2007 huh? Do I sence an announcement at the Detroit Autoshow in January? This could come along with a new RX8(or some other rotary car ex. RX7 or Kabura).

Interesting.

am I being a bit "mulder" on this or did I notice a few numbers, dates, misc info in there?
are we finaly gonna get a renesis that makes more torque?

frankly... I have lost faith in mazda ever doing justice to the amazing handling of the rx-8 with something that can move it fast enough

I read in the November Issue of Japanese Performance that the 2007 RX-8 in japan will be upgraded from four ports to six ports. Maybe thats part of it?

the six speed manual is already 6 ports, and so is the 2006 autoslush, no change there, the engine remains the same for all models now, be they auto or stick, it is of course a hair slower in auto trim, one thing that always baffled me is why they went through all the trouble of making an automatic? (I haven't touched an automatic since 1997)

I don't think the renesis needs more ports... I think it needs a 3rd rotor :cwm27: but then again I lost faith mazda ever doing that, you see the rx-8 is like a bastard child to them in that, best solution if you want respectable power is to give pettitracing a call and get their kit, I know I will end of 2008 (car will be paid off then)

Once you make a clean 3 rotor, let Mazda know.

RENESISWe know absolutely nothing yet, right? Perhaps we can hope for modest improvements in power and fuel economy based on recent concept rotaries with dirct injection. Does anyone really expect much more? Personally, I'd be very interested to see what can be accomplished with direct injection. Any specific info out there?
