how involved is the installation? Can you post instructions?

From reading the other thread, you just pull the old one off, and pop this one on. I hope it is that easy

Installation is cake...


Remove OEM knob. You can do it like I did (by hand –make sure your hands are dry) or use a pliers (place a protective layer of some form over the stock knob as you don’t want to leave any marks –pet peeve).
1.Pull knob outward to remove. Try not to wiggle or push side wards.
2.Once knob is removed. Locate the D-ring that keeps it in place.
3.Place D – ring on new knob.
4.Once D ring is in place. Align D ring for installment. Press firmly (again no wiggling ) until knob is in place.
5.Place sticker on new knob. (You have 2 choices, Pettit or Rx8 logo.)

Mission accomplished.

Very much appreciated! Thank you. Most would've just repsonded sarcastically. So for this I thank you as I'm a bit anal when it comes to installations. Even the simplist ones.

Also, it looks like it lights up? You don't have to wire anything to power?

Phantom Menace: Yes it does light up. It lights up when your headlights are on. No wiring required. The illumination from the lights that light up your CD player etc. luminates in 3 points on the knob.

I suppose if you cut out the center, and had a RX8 sticker that was black with "RX-8" clear, it could work.

yeah when i did mine i had a little touble taking off the stock knob so i bit it and pulled. much simpler

I'd like one for the 25 dollars...should i call up Monday to get that pricing?

my factory knob was very tough to get off, so my husband got it for me with a soft cloth and a pair of pliers. my new one looks great. i recommed that every rx-8 owner purchase one.

just got mine and its great...only problem is i put the sticker on a little cockeyed and went to pull it off to reposition and ripped the pettit one in half...so now im using the rx-8 one...wanted to have the pettit one on there.

I got mine, looks good. No way that you are going to get any light through the RX8 logo though unless you drill a hoild through the center of it.

Wow nice knob, looks awesome. Adds a nice look to the interior.

Tried to order it online but when i check out it keeps telling me I havent filled out all the mandatory fields even though i entered everything lol. Anyhow going to call in tomorrow morning to order it ^^
