I have been looking at the 8 and am ready to buy. I have been looking at the red with red and black interior (GT) package. Without the GPS. Wondering if anyone got a good price for one like that?

Most of the people on the board have been getting MSRP. Go to dealer and ask if they got any. Some dealers are know willing to trade with other dealers to get what the customer needs

I got my Red RX-8 6-spd with Black Leather Interior for 3.5% over invoice (yes I know the difference between invoice and MSRP.) This was in Dayton, OH, the dealers in Cincinnati, OH didn'teven want to deal.

define "everything"

that meaning GT /w appearance package /w spare tire kit /w disc changer, $33K would pretty much be the going rate.

$33K should get you the GT package + Nav (which is what I have in "winning blue"....to my knowledge as well as the dealers, the only one in the area).

I bought mine in Cincinnati. Checked the Dayton dealers and they were over MSRP. Which Dayton dealer did you buy from?

Everytime someone told me they saw 10, 12, 15, etc at some dealer, I would check it out and the dealers say they only wish they could get that many in.

Just came from San Francisco on business. Stopped at Putnam (sp?) Mazda. They had 4 of them....all pre-sold and two of them were yellow.

I got a blue GT (leather), 6MT, appearance, 6CD coming in +2 weeks for 33k -- that's MSRP. State = IN.

In State=NJ (where I was a few weeks ago), 8's were going above MSRP and usually with DVD. I test drove a rare bare 8 that I found, it has 150 miles by the 3rd day they had it (when I drove it). It was bare and they wanted markup and clearly it was well driven (tires dirty, etc.). I of course drove it well :) but didn't buy.

I'm expecting my 8 to come with single digit miles on it :)

Cool.
