Just wanted to give a heads up that on the next episode of Star Racer they'll be taking the RX-8 on the skidpad for the next trial. From the preview looks like there will be lots of sideways action! Not sure if the show is on in the states but its on here on the Discovery Channel in Canada.

The Star Mazda cars sound fantastic!

Check the website ... it's pretty much on non stop on Discovery HD! Well atleast a few times a day!

Discovery HD does rerun alot of shows... but it's in HD baby! The Star Mazda car has never looked better! ;)

There are a few potentials. That Stevie chick really impressed!

Those aren't Star Mazda cars, they're F2000 Van Diemen. Considering how badly some of the participants have done in the cornering exercise, they should have started them off with the RX-8 first!

Oh come on... you honestly think I thought those F2000 cars were Star Mazda cars?!
No, no, no... I meant whenever they "introduce" 1 of the judges they have them appear in the Star Mazda car. The thing sounds fantastic! Love the gearbox whine!

I know what you mean about the participants... they can be the king at the little go karts, but strap them into an open wheel race car and everything comes crumbling down! lol

I don't know why some people were faster to adapt than others. Especially the 2 brothers. I think the younger one was an obsticle cone out there on the track! He was extremely slow through the downshift cornering exercise!

I can't wait for this coming Tuesday's episode... From the preview they were really throwing the RX-8's around!
And Kathy shows up... again in the Star Mazda car... ;)

It totally surprised me how slow some of their entry speeds were. That corner at Mont. Tremblant is a cool corner(never driven just watched plenty of racing from there). Would have like to see more of them have a real go at it.

Looks like they are going to have some fun with the 8's next episode. Would be nice to see Tracy take an 8 for a spin....but I doubt we'll see that.

They really threw the RX-8's around the skidpad! Good to see some people get the hang of it faster than others.

Overall, the results are starting to show... They're going to widdle down the field even further next episode. Pickup the pace to race conditions.

I really don't like the way the judges are making their decisions. Wayyyyy too subjective! What's the "oh we expect more from you because we thought you were good" and you didn't show it because you weren't 1st or 2nd but still better than a pack of others that get to stay? The criteria seems a bit strange! But still an enjoyable show nonetheless!

Umm, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Star racer on Tues's at 10pm??

I know I would be going home really fast if I had to listen to that moron Paul Tracey! Can't stand the guy.
Derek and Kathy are fine, but Paul has to go! They could have used Patrick Carpentier or Alex Tagliani if they wanted a "canadian" as 1 of the judges.
Anyone is better than Paul!

We'll see how team Mazda does this week. They didn't fair too well on the mechanical side of things.

Well, the show came to a conclusion tonight. And as expected, Devin Cunningham took the crown.
Lorenzo was too much of a gino with all his show boating!

It's great to see a good guy get the chance he deserves.

So we'll see how he does in March.
