yes, the cx-7 which came out this year has already gotten a boost in power.

 

^^ Yep, Mazda had the CX-7 Adrenaline on display at Sema, which was essentially in concept form, with 300hp.

He was referring to the Adrenaline. It has ties with Mazdaspeed in a way as it has the MS6 transmission. Aside from that, that's it. That was the announcement.

I'm still waiting for the 1 rotor version of the 8 to appear called the "4".

 

Or a mini rotary which acts as a powerplant to power electric motors powering the front wheels. It'll get like 100mpg.

seriously, most of you already have a rx-8, why the facination with a mazdaspeed8?

our aftermarket is now kicking off, and we have kits with close to 400 whp available right now.

far as i'm concerned, ms8 or not, doesn't matter to me.

 

Yup differnce though between this and the Shelby is that this one can actually take corners!!

 

I wish I already had my 8! I've wanted another RX since I sold my '86 FC when I was 17. I've been lurking the pages here for years just waiting untill I get to have an 8 of my own. It would still be nice to have the option of buying an older used 8 and putting in Scott's stage 1 or just buying a MS8. Those are the kinds of decisions I just love to be able to have.

It's true that the aftermarket is taking off for the 8, but think about it. You buy a 27K new 8 and put 7K in aftermarket parts into it. Why not pay 35K for MS8 (if there was one) and have the comfort of a warranty and quality work. That's just my thought. Now if you buy a used 8 with no warranty well than that's a different story.
