Does anyone remember the post of the diagram of the sequence for the opening of the variable lenght intake manifold? Someone put up a pic of this but I'm at a loss to find it. Thanks..

I was told today that the diagram is in the Yamaguchi book. If anyone has that book and would be so gracious to post that port sequence diagram... There is an especially interesting valve, for lack of a better term, that connects the first two port runners, just below where the plastic intake bolts on. It's metal and allows air from both runners to be combined. Lower down the manifold there are two more metal valves.. One in each port runner and finally the gear driven variable ports.... Some Mazda engineers must have had a few Sake nights dreaming up this masterpeice... anyway, thanks for your help..

Is this what you want?

*Edit: Never mind, I just realized you're talking about the 26b in the 787b Le Mans car. I'll see if I can find that one.

I think he's refering to the S-DAIS, the diagram you've scanned. But that only show two stages of the five. The diagrams on page 115 show the complete operation and the rpm at which they occurred. I would have scanned it but I'm scanner deprived.

Gentlemen.. many thanks.. not the Lemans car.. although it was a great Sunday morning back in 91 waking up to coffee, orange juice and the sight of that renown orange and green in the mist.. still one of the finest hours... anyway.. if you could post get the whole sequence that would be great.. but this is definately a good start... it is the Renesis motor variable sequence.. thanks.. this forum is great..
