I want to take the flying M off of my "8". Will it leave holes?? It is a 2005. Some say it will leave holes and some say that it will not. Does anybody know for sure? I don't want to Bondo and repaint. If there is holes, then i will leave it alone. Thanks in advance for any advice. Oh yea, it will be the one on the front.

 

I was at a body shop getting some custom work done and talked to them about removing the emblems on the car - front and rear. They said all of the emblems will leave holes if removed. Hope that answers your question.

 

I believe the "RX-8" on the trunk will not, and thats the only one.

 

Why can't you just look at the underside of the hood to see if there are any plastic emblem legs sticking through?

 

The legs don't show through the lining under the hood.

On the back, I saw a very successful removal, of the "Mazda" which leaves holes, and the "RX-8" which does not - the guy moved the RX-8 over, to cover the Mazda holes!

The front has posts, I have swapped mine from a damaged stock bumper to a new one.

 

our car is filled with holes galore. its the advertising technique. lol jk
