View Full Version : Paint it black? Roto8 11-07-2006, 12:37 PM Was thinking of painting my winter rims black, can I get some honest feedback on this idea? Hey if anyone wants to photoshop it for me I would appriciate it. I am with out photoshop. Thanks For Six 11-07-2006, 12:53 PM Why do you want them black? I would say no because I think that the rims and tires would blend to much together, also the black to me would seem kind of tacky with your color. RENESIS_NEENJA 11-07-2006, 01:23 PM ^^IMO I don't think it would look that good on that color...but you know, it's your car and everything.. Roto8 11-07-2006, 01:38 PM I don't know why black. Somthing different I guess. Just a thought, wasn't to sure if I was going to do it, thats why i wanted other opinions. praxis1301 11-07-2006, 04:15 PM not black, but maybe a color a little closer to the body color of your car? the colors now kinda clash... like the amber corners on a VR colored 8... either way, might i suggest window tinting? but that's just me dmp 11-07-2006, 04:18 PM Black rims on a Gray/Silver Car = t3h S3x...Do it. :D painter1 11-07-2006, 04:42 PM YES! Paint it BLACK! Paint everything BLACK! :evil_laug scarroll 11-07-2006, 05:54 PM Flat black and Glossy, MissyK 11-07-2006, 06:09 PM if u dont want black, try gunmetal, its a bit more suttle. aerospacediver 11-07-2006, 06:11 PM Flat black and Glossy, what about a dark gold? scarroll 11-07-2006, 06:14 PM Or go with gunmetal wheels and paint the car black scarroll 11-07-2006, 06:33 PM Yeah, not feelin' the gold on silver. Maybe on black or blue-ala subie rs Tamas 11-07-2006, 07:13 PM Black rims (especially flat black) look too much like steelies. I wouldn't do it. Titanium gray with black rims that have polished lip look much better though. tiggerlee 11-07-2006, 07:32 PM ^+1 Roto8 11-07-2006, 08:50 PM yeah, thats what I have for my summer jobies. Gray with the chrome lip. For Six 11-07-2006, 10:34 PM Why not powder dust that caps? TomAssBender 11-07-2006, 11:28 PM your winter wheels are some of the nicer i have seen, IMO. I wouldn't paint them black at all. excellent use of the word jobbies NgoRX8 11-08-2006, 01:31 AM i dont think black on gray looks that great with the stocks either. blends into the tires too much versus the color of the car. Roto8 11-08-2006, 10:37 AM Yeah, I appriciate all the feedback, I think I am just going to leave them alone. Thanks again to all! Roto8 11-08-2006, 10:40 AM Why not powder dust that caps? what caps? zenmoused 11-08-2006, 11:21 AM I see a red door and I want it painted black... Mugatu 11-08-2006, 11:51 AM if you paint your wheels black, they are going to look like they're dirty. RENESIS_NEENJA 11-08-2006, 11:55 AM Yeah, if there was a lip on those that could be chromed, it would be another story altogether, but the way it is, it would just look dirty :/ GingerBreadMan 11-08-2006, 02:21 PM I just painted my stock set black, check it out. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/alex_ramirez650/4.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/alex_ramirez650/3.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/alex_ramirez650/1.jpg Mugatu 11-08-2006, 06:02 PM I just painted my stock set black, check it out. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/alex_ramirez650/4.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/alex_ramirez650/3.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/alex_ramirez650/1.jpg are there wheels in those shots? maybe if you posted some shots when it wasn't midnight. Roto8 11-09-2006, 07:44 AM are there wheels in those shots? maybe if you posted some shots when it wasn't midnight. Yeah, could you please post some in the day time, so I can actually look at them. RedSheDevil 11-09-2006, 08:54 AM but if they look dirty we can all sit back and sing: tryna catch me ridin dirty... thanks folks, im here all week. dont forget to tip your bartenders and servers :D: lesper4 11-09-2006, 09:04 AM Why do you want them black? I would say no because I think that the rims and tires would blend to much together, also the black to me would seem kind of tacky with your color. i like a black rim but with a silver lip that was there is a foundation for the car to sit on other wise the rims and tires do blend together. but to each his own. post pictures afterwards. |
