I was wondering if Mazda will send preorder people the rotary watch, or model car, or key, etc. after the buy out. Less to send out this way.

What makes you think you're getting more stuff? I'd be real surprised if the book and thermos/cup weren't the whole ball o' wax.

I totally agree. The gifts (book & thermos) were just for the pre-order customers. That was the"thankyou" from Mazda for us customers placing an order before the car showed up on the dealer's lots as normal inventory. Now since the alloted cars are on the lot, I seriously doubt any RX-8 customers, from now on placing a "special order", will receive gifts from Mazda.

But I'm sure the Yamaguchi book and the thermos/mug set will be available for purchase now!

I just got my book about two weeks ago. Still waiting for the mug set.

500 bucks and free service seems like a pretty good preorder gift to me :D
