I just wanted to drop you all a line and say that you all have really freakin' sweet cars. There is something special about the RX-8 that can't really be described. I, myself, did not end up with one because I stumbled across my G35 coupe first and had to have it. I love both cars, and I hope everyone enjoys driving them as much as I enjoy seeing them.

I was next to a G35 when it pulled away from me (casual driving), & I loved the sound of the exhaust. I hope to get mine to sound that good some day (w/ the performance boost as well). Plus I think it looks way better than the Z.

Have to agree with BlackSunshine. Been driving a friend's 8 around and it is a truly great car. Got a Miata, Acura CL Type-S (6 speed) and Mini in the family and I can definitely see looking for an 8 in the next few years. Performance seems strong (in spite of all the hp angst on this forum right now) and Mazda definitely nailed the whole feel of the car. Truly a "driver's" car in every respect.

Oh, and for you guys with "quality problems". Hang out on some of the Mini sites for a while and you'll see how good you've got it.

Thanks for the compliments. I, too, love the sound of the exhaust. I think it's one of the best attributes the car has. It's a lot different than my 500 hp 03 Cobra sounded, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I have yet to hear an RX8. There just aren't that many on the streets around here yet.

I gotta say, I'm very partial to blue on those things. VERY cool color :cool:
