I was at a couple of dealerships this weekend test driving and talking finance with a couple of sales guys. I saw a red rx with black leather that was basically the one I went with only a few quibble points. I just got a job that pays well enough for me to afford it, but I've also been thinking of putting in an order for the exact specs of the car I want, and so I can also build up a big enough down payment for when the car actually gets here. I'm fresh out of college and this is my first salary job, and with zero credit, the only way I can get this car is to have my dad co-sign it. <br>Anyhow I've been trying to determine which course of action is better, getting it now, paying almost 5.9APR and only about 5K down, or order and have a bigger down, maybe 12K, and maybe have some more credit that could help my finance. Also I'm wondering if anyone else is ordering now, considering most everyone on here seems to have ordered in January or February of this year and are now getting the first builds of the car. Plus if I wait that long, will this car be as cool then as it is now? I'm just wondering what other people think of ordering at this point, and how much they now about the process, any pointers would be helpful. Also while I've looked around at couple of other cars, and none compare to the coolness of the RX, what suggestions would you have of cars that wouldn't kill me as bad on finance as this might. All comments would be appreciated. Thanks all.
As a sidenote, I'm also wondering how ordering works. How much do you have to put down, and can you get this back if you change your mind?
