Afternoon gang
Just a little rambling on something I encountered today.
While waiting for my demo to get the 3M film put on today, i decided to take a quick run up to the store. I decided to hop in our customer demo unit since I hadn't driven it in a while. This car is a Sport Pkg. and now has about 3000 miles on it. This car felt considerably quicker than the one I'm driving as my demo. It has not been babied and has been abused since day one. My demo is a GT pkg and has about 700 miles on it. So, I don't know whether it's quicker because of the mileage or is it the little bit of extra weight that comes with the GT Pkg. I think I'll need to research it more. Unfortunately, I don't have any Sport Pkgs. on the ground at the present time to see if its the mileage. I know from experience that over time, you get used to the sensation of speed and if you have a car with some miles on it, you owe it to yourself to try to drive one without any miles and see if your car has loosened up and gotten quicker. If not, then it's got to be the weight.

Hey maybe it's the break-in? Like the car programmed itself to be slow because it was babied, while your demo was hammered from day 1? ;)

I suspect it is because of the amount of miles your Sport has. Could be ECU remapping, engine break-in farther along, etc., and weight difference.
