In "The Knowledge" section at the back of the mag the RX-8 is the new favourite coupe, beating the 350Z:
Our Choice - Mazda RX-8 (*****)
Forget for a moment the challenging styling, the twin rotary engine, and the rear hinged doors, the 237bhp (!) Rx-8 is simply one of the best drivers cars weve tested in a very long time. And at £22,000 its also something of a bargain.
Best of the rest - Nissan 350Z (****1/2)
Nissans 350Z has a big, normally aspirated engine, rear-wheel drive and a well-sorted chassis, which makes it our sort of car. We're also fans of the sweet handling Hyandai Coupe and the high revving Toyota Celica 190 T-Sport.
Respect due to Evo :)
