Hey Will, how did you mount your fog lights? Does the MS nose have mounting points for the stock fittings or did you do it some other way?

Hey Will, how did you mount your fog lights? Does the MS nose have mounting points for the stock fittings or did you do it some other way?

You have to buy some brackets in addition to the nose (I got it all through japanparts) to enable the fogs to be fitted. That meant cutting mesh and the black inserts behind the mesh, to fit the brackets, plus drilling holes in the MS nose to fix the brackets themselves.

The instructions are very clear in spite of being in Japanese, but cutting and drilling brand new, beautifully painted bits was a bit harrowing!

I didn't bother to keep a photo record of it all - I'm sure someone more anal than me has done that already somewhere

ya the instructions tells you to hack saw the lower portion of the original bumper while it's still on the car, you also need to be careful not to damage muffler in the process. then drill 6 holes into the chasis to mount the rear diffuser.

the thing is, that the instructions are really hard to tell which portions to cut near the tips

ops my bad, just had a quick look.
there is actually only 3 brackets to support the diffuser. 2 long ones on the sides and 1 short one in the middle, and yes the brackets are secured with fasteners on to the rear chassis in the pics. (no drilling is required unlike the side skirts, which i drilled like 8 holes for mine) :)

Since Will doesn't appear the boasting type, thought you all should know that his car won "Coolest Car" at the Nats by loud, spontaneous and unanimous popular acclaim. Nothing else was in the hunt IMHO. Beautiful set of wheels Will and great to meet you. :icon_tup:

You arrived with a pretty car and left with one. So long as you had some fun and maybe learnt something inbetween, that's all that matters. :ylsuper:

After sitting in Gundagai with Andrew, Will and Vic on the way home and seeing how people ignored the blue, red and shinka 8s, I am going to buy simmons wheels, get a body kit and paint my car yellow! :)

I must admit, it was hard to keep my eyes on the road on the way home with Will in the convoy.
