Just to double check.

Is there a front fog light indicator in the dash?

Never switch on the fogs for some time. and After installing the rear fogs, i only see the rear fog light indicator. Not sure if there was a front indicator in the first place.

yes man there is one. It's diagonally to the "parking light" indicator.

mine is the Feb04 car. Ringer from this forum has a Aug03 car and his doesn't have the light. the manual also doesn't mention this. So it might be for the MM cars and later JDMs? Anyone with the early batch of rx8s can comment? thanks

^ yes,there is no indicator on my 8 :) just for your info,i bought the foglight by myself,so i don't know if the AT 8 came with foglight,it might have indicator :dunno:

thanks. still curious, whether i shorted the light out, or there isn't one there in the first place.

Was thinking that 03 builds came without this indicator, so hopefully someone with an early 04 or 03 JDM cars that came with fogs can confirm this.

after-market may not have as it is not connected to the main console board.
oso... if yours dun come with the foggy switch..then the connection to the meter will not be there.
if you go for OEM foggies, shd come with the right shift level with that "foggy switch".

I've got an 04 (will have to check the build when i get back to the car) and no fog light indicator. Also, my lights on indicator is on the opposite side of the one in the shown pic.

i think i figured it out. My doesnt have the indicator as it is a JDM 03 build 6MT. The manual doesnt show the presence of the fog light on indicator. Checking with my neighbours 05JDM build 6MT, his manual shows the presence of the fog light indicator and his car has the said indicator.

Seems like there are quite a few running changes Mazda has made.
