If you complain about using premium gas, see what the 350Z crowd is up against. There's a possible warranty impact as well (from a 350Z forum):
350Z's USE PREMIUM GASOLINE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
per your manual. Section 9-3 (2003 edition)
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 AKI(Anti-Knock Index)If premium gasoline is not available, unleaded regular gasoline with an octane rating of 87 AKI may be temporarily used But only under the following precautions
*Have the fuel tank filled only partially with unleaded regular gasoline and fill up with premium gasoline as soon as possible
*Avoid full throttle driving and abrupt acceleration
However, for maximun vehicle performance, the use of premium is recommended
Using a fuel other than that specified could adversely affect the emissions control devices and systems, and could also affect warranty coverage.the recent rise in gas prices is not your Z's fault.
you own a high perfromance sports car please give it the proper gas.
(EDIT: Changed the quoting hierarchy to correctly reflect poster's comments versus actual text of the manual.)
