Hello everyone, I just purchased a 2004 Rx-8 and needed to know how would I be able to find out if the recalls have been done to my car. I have been reading most of your threads and I did notice one thing in particular which would be moisture in the lights. Being that one of the tail lights in my car does let water in I am speculating if any recalls have been done.

 

No recalls on the lights but if u go to a good dealership, they should hook u up with replacements under warranty, not recall.
Best thing to do for finding out if the recall work has been done is to check for all the blue recall stickers under the hood and at the door sill. If all else fails then just take it to a mazda dealer, they'll take care of ya and give u a free rental.

Make sure the latest engine recall work was done or have it done.

 

There are news seals for the tail lights. I'm going in Saturday morning for this myself. They said it should take about an hour.

 

Car had 34,256 miles on it and the total walkout price was $22,800.
