OK well heres the story I had a 2001 eclipse Gt. that had gotten vandalized (keyed, egged, had a bolder through a windshield, ect ). Now these people that did this were put in jail by me but now there out and they know I have an rx-8 and they started following me last night at 3.10 am. I have a court order against them but they are really dumb and don't care if they go back to jail. Now my eclipse had over 7,000 worth of damage I had to pay for and even if I get them put in jail they have friends that are more willing to do it for them. The only thing I did to have this happen was I have a nice car that I paid for and its all jealously. Its also a whole bunch of high school BS that should have stayed in high school when we graduated.
Now heres my options

1 i don't worry about it

2 call the police and make them aware (Ps tried this it doesn't work)

3 hide my car at my grandmothers in her garage till i move to Fl in Two weeks for school

4 by a car cover and after IM done driving put it on every night.

please someone tell me what you u think..

im gonna miss driving it though i really hate people that they can be such prixs for having soemthing that they dont have.

shoot them in the leg.... or put a survalence (can't spell) system on your car and record everything that happens to it..

But i opt for shooting them in the leg though. =-]

If this is such a real problem as you describe, with these guys following you around town, then just hang back for a couple of weeks till you leave town.

How do you put a surveillancesystem in a car? I thinkif someone keys a car and then they notice a little camera blinking at them in the car I think that instead of just doing outside damage to the car they will probalby break in to destroy the camera and then steal whatever is inside the car too. I dont know what i would do in your case

If you are really serious, then I would hide the car if it is only for 2 weeks. I mean, do you honestly think a car cover is really going to deter people like this? A cover comes off as easy as it goes on.

I agree with the others: hide the car. I know it's not fair if you haven't done anything wrong, but whatever damage they do will never be repaired perfectly and you'll always (ALWAYS) be reminded of what they did every time you look at your car in the future. When my wife's Lexus was rear-ended (though not intentionally), it was fixed well, but it was never the same. If real justice could be served, you could take a baseball bat to them or something. Any chance for some street justice? Good luck with keeping out of trouble until you leave for school!

Get a Temporary Restraining Order, then the cops are required to arrest them when they violate that (or, you have a huge lawsuit to get the cops with, because at that point, they are not protecting you as they should).

Sue the snot out of them and the parents, and get your $7k and more back. They've been convicted of causing that damage, so they don't have much to stand on. Hit them where it hurts, their wallet. They'll take notice.

Your best bet is to hide the car unless you have some of these. As for me, I'd dare, double dare, and give them a physical challenge to mess with my car. If they're smart they'll bring their flack jackets.

beacause when i was in h.s i bought a 2001 eclipse while eveyone had very old cars- also beacuse i am jewish. Also beacause they know i cant do anything to them, i have a heart dessease if i get punched in the chest hard enough i will have a major heart attack. My heart is only working 43%. I also made the princeable aware but he sided with the jocks.

i live in colonia Nj its the estates section. the peopel that are doing this live a town over.

yes i knopw but the cops here said if i dont see them do it they cant do anything. i have tried the cops over 5 times nothing. i just cant wait to move to Fl to go to school to end this trouble. Also the people that i put in jail were also in jail for pulling out a weepon to somebody and having knives and guns in there cars. they very big drug dealers that were pissed and have jelousy towards peoples belonings.

i will probaly put my car in my grandmother house the place is over 30 min from here.

If you don't have any friends that are cops, take out your car and make friends with some of them. Do whatever it takes, tell them you wanted to be a cop but your heart condition prohibits it - just to start up conversation. (You will need to be an upstanding citizen to make this work.)

I realize it's only two weeks, but what about when you go back to NJ to visit?

The cops may say that they can't do anything now, but if you're their friend, they'll react very quickly and will not be "handcuffed" by rules.

Hide the car in the garage already. Even if it gets fixed, it'll never be the same.

Also, like someone else said, sue the crap out of the parents. Find one of those scummy lawyers who'll sue anyone for anything and only gets paid if you win.

i have like 3 family members that are cops they watch my house and my car . they pass my house every hour. You know what maybe it time i call some of my grandfathers friends . And jsut make them aware of it or maybe call some friends in Nwe york. i just want this to end i dont want trouble nor look for trouble. i just wann drive my toy(rx-8).

I have friends that are cops in D.C., Jacksonville and Central Florida. In all those places, police departments are the same. They look out for, and take care of, their own - including family members. It's the nature of the job. I would think that would be enough leverage for you to solve the problem. I'm not suggesting anything illegal, just something from the police that will make your adversaries aware that they are being monitored.

That should be enough to scare away most any common street thug, unless they are something more than stupid high schoolers?

ok it all started when some kid in woodshop called me gay so i called him an asshole and its been going on for 3 years. i have the cops envolved they are looking out for anything but still cops arent eveywhere.

Also i am the one that got flamed but just to tell you i put 15,000 down on the caar and my parents paid the rest. When i come up[ on break from school i will work at my dads pharmacy, and after i get out of school i will pay off what i owe them. So im not getting the car scott free.

Ship it ahead to Florida, I'll keep an eye on it for you.:cool:

I have heart disease and if I would get hit in the chest I have a 90% chance of having a massive heart attack because I barely have any protection on my chest. They also fight very dirty (guns, knives, switch blades ect) i would have ended it along time ago. if i didnt have this problem.

eclps0, somebody mentioned shipping the car to florida early. That doesn't sound like such a bad idea as long as you can put in storage until you get there. Good luck with your quest as saving your car's @ss.

Glad you're OK. Also glad they caught the guys. Still, you're eventually going to have to "fight some battles" being so young with such a nice car regardless of where you live.

Not meant as a "flame", but if I remember correctly, you did a fairly good job of flaunting the fact that you were getting the RX8 at such a young age. That type of 'tude, rightfully or wrongfully, will put you in some "bad company" regularly.

You might want to count your blessings regarding your wealthy parents who would allow you to have the car. You also might want to think about being a bit more humble regarding your good fortune.

That way you'll minimize the "ass whoopin'" opportunities others will want to inflict. Having that car, at your age, is still going to inflame some to the point of being pissed off at you, though.

There's still part of this story I feel is missing.

There are psychos anywhere and any age. I'm 39 and 4 months ago I sold a jet ski to a guy who owns a restaurant and is 36. Well he called one month later and accused me of having damaged the ski prior to him buying it and wants $700. He eventually confesses that he lent it to a friend and he sunk it.

A few days ago (4 months after selling it) I get this note on my door saying "blah blah.. I just recieved notice that you ripped me off!!!.. blah blah". So I call him up and he's totally lost it.. Screaming at me about how I stole his hard earned money. Seems now the ski needs new crank bearings because he sank it 3 months ago. Now he wants $1600. Claims he's going to sue me, says the mechanic is writing a letter saying the damage was there before, and says whether or not a judge deals with it he's going to "get even with me". He refused to give me the name of the place that is fixing it.

Well, there's only one place in town that fixes SeaDoo so I call them up and talk to the mechanic. When I mention the guys name he starts laughing. Mechanic says he got the water out of it 3 months ago after the loser sank it. He says he explained then that he should replace the bearings. Mechanic tells me the reason it was just fixed a few days ago was because someone put lbs of sugar in his gas tank. Now the bearings are knocking and the engine is going to die. Of course the mechanic is wrting no letter for this nut.

So now I have a psycho stalker on my ass. I called the cops because he threatened me. They called him and told him to leave me alone. Now this guy certainly isn't that stupid that he thinks I did anything to cause this problem. He sank it after buying it. Yet he calls me up threatening me I guess in a lame ass effort to simply scare me into giving him $1600. No way would I give him a dime.

So now I have to put up security cameras on my house, purchase a firearm, have my wife worried about this bs all because I sold my ski to a guy who seemed fine and turned out to be a psycho.

I learned though. Never put your home # in an add and never meet the person at your house.
