Question for Red/Black interior owners

I'm looking to buy a new 8, and I love the red/black int. leather. I'm just worried about it fading too much, I mean I'm sure there's some fading that's going to happen in the long run. So, for anyone who has the red/black interior (preferably if you have the 03) how is it looking? Any care tips? I don't have a garage nor any type of shade, I'll probably be using a car cover every now and then.

My coworker has the red/black thing going on.. I'm not too much of a fan of it though. His is a 2004, and from what I remember how they look brand new, the red on his does look a little brighter... But I'm sure if you take care of it, with some leather lotion every once in a while, everything should be ok.

I have red and black, but mine is aftermarket so not sure how much it'll help you regarding the factory leather. Also, my car is garaged.
Needless to say, interior looks perfect. Leather is 2 years, 8 months old.

I have red and black and mine is an 04. I always park outside in the sun and have never used a car cover. I've used Zaino's leather in a bottle once and its good stuff, but my leather has not faded at all.

I actually didn't like the way red and black looks in sunlight.

Lots of times it looks way off like faded.

So I quickly steered away from that and moved on then vehicle in the lot.

give 4 to 5 years before you see anything.

My red/black is three years old and perfect. I use 303 to protect the interior. 303 is sunscreen so it is specifically to prevent drying, cracking and fading. Buy it at marine supply stores. It works on boat upholstery that is exposed to full sun it certainly works in cars.

If you want to try the 303 products, you can get a sample kit for $5 here.
