Vote 1 for G Games 99B - if you can afford it.

Although my RP03 is very stunning in my car.... Oh we can be Enkei brother since ILIV48 sold his car.

Revolver too - we can be Enkei triplets

for those prices and those sizes, you're probably better off getting the Mazdaspeed wheels (also made by Rays) through your dealership. but, if those are the only 4 you have your heart set on...i'd go with the Time Attack TE37.

those prices are way over. i paid under $2500 for my 19" SF-Challenges.

Danomite, these are aussie dollars........ lol

I like the TE37's or the G-games. As i think they are the rarest ones amongst the aussie community. SFChallenges and Enkies- no offence guys- but few of you have them ;)
You're not going to pay sht load of money to look similar to someone else if u can avoid being different - thats my view anyway! But we all know Im a bit weirdo when comes to this stuff :)

I know the TE37's are quite costly, same goes for the SF. You're estimations are pretty close!!

I can find out prices for you if you wish.

Go for 18x8.5 with offset around +38, +40

It's a question of budget I guess.

I've got the Enkei's and love them but the price was a deciding factor. They're great value for a good-looking, light-weight rim.

I looked long and hard at the TE37's (even in magnesium, until I worked out just how much it was gonna cost me :Eyecrazy: ) and still think they are a great looking rim but of those 4 I'd plump for the G-Games. They look fab.

Post some pics once you have your choice fitted. :)

Them's Aussie dollars, mate...

Sadly, Aussie dealers don't stock Mazdaspeed anyway.

MS wheels are over priced... They are just TE37 in 5 spokes ;).

Have you looked at Prodrive or Wedsports yet? I will bring a jap mag with the latest wheels on Sat.

NEW price development!

1 piece forged wheels:

VOLK RACING TE37 gold / white 1885 +40 225/45R18 all round, $4k

2 piece forged wheels:

VOLK RACING SF-CHALLENGE sparkling silver 1880 +35 225/40R18 all round $3.5k

1 piece cast wheels:

G-GAMES 99B gunmetal 1885 +40 225/45R18 all round $2.5k
ENKEI RP03 silver 18" x 8" +40 225/45R18 all round $2.5k

big surprise, when u go shopping around :Eyecrazy:
and a bigger surprise on the SF-CHALLENGE cheaper than the TE37 being 2 piece forged wheels!

decision is changing...
might have to go with the SF-CHALLENGE or the TE37s having felt how light they were compared the cast wheels in the shop today... so sweet :Drooling_

so i prob going to order next week and start a long wait for 12 weeks... :crying:

yes the te37 are more expensive then the sf's. i saw the price difference aswell when i was lookin around too. its because they are much lighter.

which te37's, gold or white?

which te37's, gold or white?

now that i thought about it carefully, white would just get break dust all over so easily and gold would make my car look too much like the WRXs

so i might go with that titanium or that gunmetal like the ones that Will had on his 19"

there is a 06 model for the te37s which is all black but not sure if they will suit a winning blue

go through the "calling all winning blue" thread in multimedia, i think i recall a WB with black rims, just so u have a better idea wat it looks like.

The gold rims wont look too wrxy... the wrx rims are quite different, any person who knowz slightly about wheels will be able to tell its a rays wheel that u got ;)

white is a bit bold aswell, if u want to make a major statement.. lol but yea go through that winning blue thread and get some more ideas. u could always get silver, then powdercoat them into a darker shade

I'd pick TE37, lightweight rims :D
second choice enkei, third g-games. sf-challenge not my cup of tea.

I'm considering the enkei myself, I don't think I want to spend that much on rims, as I won't be tracking a lot.

ok i think i reached my final decision

it will actually be the TE37s in bronze(as there is no gold :))

18" x 8.5" with +40 offset all round

been reading up on the RAYS owner's club thread

http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=88311

and it took me like 2 hours to read em all lol, had a good hard looked around, found that about 40% had 99Bs in gunmetal very popular, 20% on TE37s and 20% on SF-Challenges...

saw some TE37 in bronze on a VR, looked so yummy and i thought it wouldnt be so bad after all for a WB

most of the guys on that thread all run staggered setups with 19" x 8.5" fronts and 19" X 9.5" and most of them had crazy offsets in which all rubbed, most had to roll up rear fenders too. :uhh:

i also found that i didn't like the 99bs and SF challenges polished rings... so that only leaves me with TE37s ;)

had a look at the black TE37s in which only came in the time attack version, had a red ring around it in which i didnt liked much... :uhh:

anyway should have my hands on those bronze te37s in about 13 weeks i hope
including this one...

MissyK

YaY u made great decision.
Yea most people seem to go staggered with that set up. I also chose to have 19x8.5 +38 offset all round. I couldnt be bothered with staggered!! Looks hot, but........ lol

The bronze TE37s will look great on the WB dont worry :) 13 weeks? thats really quick!
Well 3 weeks from now is close to end of the year... damnnn lol
