Seems like the author was still giddy from the test drive when they wrote the article. Good sign. Wish I knew what a donk, propeller head, and imperial ton were? Brettus, could you translate for the people that don't speak NZ?

lol

Donk (ey) = motor
Propeller head = not sure on that one , think he means people who are into racing etc.
imperial ton = 100 mph

Nice article, but the RX-8 came out before the new Mustang and Corvette. They would have been inspired by the 8 and not vice versa.

The 8 is very original and I think has influenced cars since, particulary the emphasized fender flares.

I think the RX8 is one of the best cars ever made, esp balance wise. It always makes Car and Drivers 10 best, pretty impressive for a car that hasn't changed much in 3 years. These boards are the only place I've read really bad things. Like hearing the car doesn't run as well in hot weather.....seemingly ridiculous since I see RX8s daily here in Dallas where its still 90+ in October.

I still wait impatiently to get one and even after reading about engine replacements etc, it seems that driving this car is a drug that always makes one giddy after driving it. Thats enough for me.

Probably more then you have, no offense. Obviously saying "dode" you were probably drunk or something as I said "balance wise" right after that. Just watch the Top Gear video of the 8. The older host, who has been driving longer and more cars then most people that breath, considered it his favorite car of the year, other then it skidding in the rain. Other then straight line power, the 8 is there with almost anything performance wise. Chassis, weight distribution, breaks, road feel, ride quality, handling I've done my research friend. Have you? Next time if you disagree, try stating something of value, dode.
